For JJ-Lapp Cable SMI, a strong and sustainable approach to Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) has always been a top priority. Its EHS Management System was put in place to protect the environment and safeguard the health and safety of its people and the communities in which it operates. Since 2014, JJ-Lapp Cable SMI has also been compliant with the Indonesian government’s K3 Management System.
For its efforts, the business unit is elated to have received the certification of conformance to the ISO 14001:2004 environmental management system and the OHSAS 18001:2007 health and safety management system in early 2016. The internationally recognised certifications were awarded by Bureau Veritas, a premier global provider of system certifications to a number of management system standards.
“These certifications mark an exciting milestone in our ongoing journey to provide a safe and healthy environment for our people and the communities we operate in. These certifications are recognition of the quality processes and safety procedures that our employees and management have built together,” said Mike Winzerling, Regional Managing Director of JJ-Lapp Cable.
